Economic Development Committe

The Economic Development Committee’s mission is to retain and attract business to maintain a diverse and robust economy, maximize employment opportunities, grow the city’s tax base and enhance the quality of life.

With this in mind, the committee will work collaboratively with local government, regional business organizations, commercial real estate firms, educational institutions, human resource professionals, manufacturers and venture capital firms to identify and implement strategies aimed at retaining existing business and attracting new business. It will also develop a business retention strategy and determine ways to help existing businesses expand and thrive in Petaluma.
