Government Affairs Committee
One of the responsibilities of the Chamber of Commerce is to advocate on behalf of the membership for the business community with local, regional and State agencies and government. To this end, this committee meets regularly with representatives of those bodies as well as interest groups and individuals who can bring information on various issues and from different viewpoints to the group. The committee researches, evaluates and makes recommendations to the full Board of Directors. Positions are then taken in order to support the Chamber’s policies and mission statement to support and improve a healthy business community in Petaluma.
